Woodenhead is a 50-acre property on the
Princes Highway at Jerrawangala, 33.8 km south of Nowra. To our north is Wandandian village and Bewong Roadhouse and Truck Stop. We're
close to Sussex Inlet which is to our east, and to the south is Mollymook and historic, horsey Milton.
We're surrounded by national parks, and there are plenty of riding
trails and beaches close by.
The big,
undulating paddocks provide good drainage.
Some paddocks are built of hardwood post and rail, the others are
post and wire. The complex of eight stables have six with pens at the front. At the moment not all the paddocks have shelters. 
The water for the paddocks comes
from a fresh rainwater tank.
No
chemical fertilisers or pesticides are used here; dung
beetles and frogs abound and if the odd fireweed plant appears it is
quickly hand-picked and tied up in a plastic bag to be disposed of as
recommended by the local weeds inspector.
We're halfway
between Sydney and the Far South Coast. There is easy access into our driveway
for large trucks and thre is a loading ramp, and room for float and truck
parking.
We call the house The Tardis because from the
outside it looks like a little farm cottage but in reality it is a huge
203sqm with four to five bedrooms, a sunroom with kitchen facilities so
one area can be made into a granny flat or teenage retreat. It has a
large kitchen with both fuel and gas stoves, large verandah area,
laundry with shower recess, big bathroom with tub, big rumpus
room, lounge and dining room.
